Our family journey has been fascinating, we’ve grown a bit each day and since the establishment of this website, our lives have got just that bit more interesting. We have learned from all those we’ve encountered and written extensively about family life, creativity and DIY.

When we set up this website, we had two goals:

  • To create an online family resource and share parenting tips
  • To share DIY and interior design expertise

Our efforts have not been in vain and we are delighted to say, that thousands of people read our blog posts and website each month. Blogging has been a highly enriching experience for both Rachel and I. Even the kids post occasionally and we have been fortunate in receiving many brilliant guest posts. Without our dear guest bloggers, we would never have gotten this far and we deeply value each and every contribution.

Not many blogs publish guest posts, however, right from the start, we somehow knew that our website would be much enriched by guest contributions. Bloggers, novice and expert, are welcome to submit a post and can do so by filling in the form below or by emailing me at jeff@davidsdiy.com.

The Joys of Blogging

Blogging, telling your story and sharing your expertise or wisdom is much like writing a diary or teaching a class. You provide the readers with insight and knowledge, while also growing as a person and writer. Rachel’s posts have helped countless families over difficult obstacles and my DIY posts have saved lots of people the trouble of hiring a professional. The blogging process is challenging and interesting and well worth progressing through. Both, Rachel and I, have been surprised at just how much joy blogging has given us, particularly when it comes to receiving feedback and comments. Our posts have initiated many discussions and exchanges with readers. We have also connected with other bloggers and learned much in the process. If you have ever toyed with the idea of blogging, I would urge you to pursue this dream. You can be sure of broadening your horizon, learning about lots of new stuff and connecting with hundreds of interesting people.
